Sacred Secretion Dates for Taurus: When the Moon Returns to the Bull

The Taurus arc runs from 0° to 60° of the ecliptic. Phase one, the modern addition, is the Moon's transit of Aries (0°–30°). The midpoint is the Moon's entry into Taurus at 30°. Phase two is the Moon's passage through Taurus itself, ending when it reaches 60° and enters Gemini. Because the Moon's speed varies with its distance from Earth, the twelve windows below run from 4d 5h to 4d 17h, averaging 4d 12h.

Cusp days for Taurus are around April 19–20 and May 20–21. If you were born within two days of either, the Sun may have been in Aries or Gemini instead, and the window would shift by a whole sign. Taurus is Earth under Venus, and in the body-map it holds the neck and throat — the cerebellum, the voice, the place where swallowing happens. Of all twelve signs it is the one most at home in appetite. Not greed, exactly; more a deep trust that the body knows what it wants and should be given it. That trust is a gift most of the year. The modern first half puts the Moon in Aries, and astrologers read that fire in a Taurus chart as irritation: a restlessness with no object, a pull to reach for comfort.
