Taurus 2027

For the first time since 2018, Taurus begins a year without Uranus in it. The lightning planet is settled in Gemini for all of 2027 and never crosses back, and the sign of the bull is left with something it has not had in years: quiet. No eclipse falls in Taurus. Mercury does not retrograde through it. No slow planet enters or leaves. Only Venus passes through, in late spring, and only the ordinary lunations mark the calendar.

That is not an empty year. It is an integration year, and integration is the part of alchemy nobody photographs. The Taurus season opens in late April and closes in late May; the new moon in Taurus sits at its very centre. The full moon in Taurus comes in mid-November, with the Sun in Scorpio, when the sky asks what has actually taken root in the body since spring.

If you have Taurus strongly placed, the tradition's word for 2027 is coagula — the second half of the alchemical motto. Seven years of solve, of being shaken loose, are over. Now the material is asked to hold a form. Notice how unfamiliar that feels, and how much of your restlessness this year is habit rather than weather. The bull was never meant to be struck by lightning forever. It was meant to stand in a field.
